A Stormy night

Thunder ran through the night, rain pounding violently against the glass. Teddy laid next to the fire, in the Griffindor common room curled in a ball, his head resting on a pillow. The warmth calmed him greatly from his nightmares, his father dying on the floor, his mother diving over him, crying over his limp body , a myseterious death eater cackling in the backround, they hadn't told him the name for his 'saftey' a.k.a to make sure he wouldn't track them down and kill them off. Thats what his life was all about, to turn into a auror, and to hunt down the death eaters, one, by one. He clawed the carpet, his hands scarred and pale. He started to bite his hand, a nervous habit, his hair changed color settling in a familiar brown with a pink streak, the stories of past christmas's, how his mother had bright pink hair, his father, also a half wolf, a deep rich brown. He smiled, it helped thinking what they died for. They died to make sure he was here, and happy.
I wonder if they saw me in love
Teddy weakly closed his eyes, trying to focus his mind, he heard a shuffle of robes and a blanket being put over him he could smell her a mile away "Thank you Victorie"
"Thats what i'm here for" She whispered "Can i lie down with you?"
"If you want" Teddy mumbled, truth was, he wanted nothing more
"I'm just, i'm scared of lightning"
"Come on down the, you can sleep next to me"
She smiled, curling down next to him "My best friends half wolf"
"Best friend? Is that all i am?" He mouthed
"Well, best friend..." She paused, then sighed. She stayed silent, Teddy bagan to stroke her hair, rubb her shoulders, as she continued to sleep.
"I love you" he whispered, kissing her hair. "One day, i dream you may love me too"
"Teddy..." She kept repeating in her sleep "Teddy... i ... love...." She repeated all night. The first night all year Teddy actually slept, cradling her in his arms, a smile on his face.
