A Hard Night

Teddy sat near the fire, his hair was a bright teal his jacket over him, he tried to fit in two more essays. He couldn't think though, not without her, her smile her eyes, he was too sad she wasn't with him that second, too sad she loved him as much as he loved her, but could peacefully sleep upstairs. He grunted and laid his face into the carpet, clawing it with his hands. He kept hugging himself, feeling a beautiful knitted sweater she made him, she had stayed up as long as possible, and despite her slightly unconscious fighting, pounding his chest weakly, with her eyes closed, he carried her up to bed and layed her down in the girls corridors. Oh how he wanted to bolt up those stairs and wake her up so badly, only a week had he had the first kiss, and ever since that its all they could ever do, the fire never went out, the flame that kept both of them from wearing out, the chemistry Teddy couldn't have even imagined, he smiled then looking into the flames, wondering if she was dreaming of him
"If only i knew" Teddy mused, tousleing his hair, forcing himself to work on the parchment
"Knew what?" Victorie was behind him, wrapped in a blanket and nightgown, staring at him, he looked up at her smiling dreamily
"What you were dreaming about" He said, he beckoned her instantly, patting his lap
"You" Victorie walked over to him "I didn't fall asleep, i tried but not..."
"Shhhh" Teddy held her in his arms, suddenly his whole body was tender under her touch, she was storking his jaw, it made him shiver "You aren't going to win, your simply going to slip"
"Of course i am" She said, kissing his lips slowly
"Hey!" He protested "Sleep, its late, and you need sleep, not me, sleep" He felt a pain in his chest as he said that, not me.
"I need you." She was whispering, falling to sleep so ever carefully
Teddy held his ground, placing her on the couch as she closed her eyes "Sleep Victorie"
"I love you"
Teddy wanted to say it back, to tell her all his life, but by then she was sleeping, her eyes closed
"I love you too" He whispered, he got up and left the common room slowly, unwillingly he smiled as he left saying goodbye to the fat lady. He walked down corridors, looking out the window to see a new moon. The stars glittered, the clouds were out of sight, he sighed deeply and turned around, he couldn't leep her waiting, he had to see her again
